The current digital era is characterized by an unprecedented convergence between artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity challenges, and the growing need to regulate digital platforms. These three areas, once distinct, are now intrinsically linked, shaping the future of technology and society on a global scale.

The regulation of digital platforms has become a major priority for legislators. The European Union, for example, concluded in a preliminary report that Meta infringed EU digital legislation due to the "addictive" designs of its Instagram and Facebook platforms [Source 1]. The European Commission accuses Meta of not having sufficiently assessed the risks associated with features such as infinite scrolling and autoplay, considered designed to create dependence [Source 6]. Meanwhile, cybersecurity remains a major and growing concern. During the 21st edition of Orange Business Live in Côte d'Ivoire, ANSSI Côte d'Ivoire emphasized the importance of treating digital risk with the same rigor as financial risk, in the face of an explosion of cyberattacks, with 27 million attacks recorded in 2025, placing the country 51st globally [Source 11]. Specialized companies like Veeam Software, focused on data and AI trust, are strengthening their leadership teams to manage their global partner ecosystem [Source 4]. In network security, Infoblox plans to acquire Kentik to unite DNS authority and asset visibility with network observability, to strengthen security operations [Source 5]. The concept of "Zero Trust Network Access" (ZTNA) is also highlighted to eliminate implicit trust at scale in access systems, an approach that has become essential with the adoption of remote work and the cloud [Source 17]. Even niche markets, such as video game skins (e.g., CS2), emphasize the importance of third-party platform security for transactions [Source 15]. Hardware-level security is also a subject of research, such as security analysis for SCONE logical locking [Source 23].

In summary, the regulation of digital platforms, the integration and management of artificial intelligence, and the strengthening of cybersecurity represent interdependent pillars of technological evolution. The challenges posed by addictive designs, the proliferation of low-quality AI content, and the increase in cyberattacks require coordinated and innovative responses from regulators, technology companies, and researchers. The ability to navigate this critical intersection will determine the resilience and reliability of our digital future.
